MC Machine is pleased to announce we have dash plates available again for 1979-1986 Mustangs and Capris.
Original design, single vent Our orignial version holds two 5" and four 2-5/8" Auto Meter gauges. While gauges made by other manufacturers may work, we have not fit them to our plates, we cannot make claims as to their fitment. This plate is essentially unchanged from previous and includes a bracket to attach the original vent.
Two vent design
MC Machine is pleased to present a new design for two 3-3/8" and four 2-1/16" Auto Meter gauges. While gauges made by other manufacturers may work, we have not fit them to our plates, we cannot make claims as to their fitment. This new design allows retention of the inboard vent opening and the use of slightly less expensive smaller gauges. Brackets are included to transfer the original vents to the MC Machine plate.
Both versions come assembled and with the main plate anodized black and the side gauges anodized grey to mimic the '83-'86 GT/RS factory plastic. Indicator lights for high beam and turn signals are also installed. The bare aluminum, clear anodized plates and the all-black style are discontinued.

Some FAQs:
Can I keep the inboard vent opening and use the 5" tach/speedo? No. There is not enough room even when using smaller 2-1/16" side gauges. The 5" speedo is so wide, any size side gauge will overlap the inboard vent. To keep the inboard vent, a 3-3/8" speedometer must be used or the side gauges eliminated.
Can I get a plate without the removable plates? Just a solid plate? A custom plate can be made in that configuration. However, installing such a plate would be difficult as access to the connections (speedo cable for example) would be tough to reach. Also, since such a custom plate would require a lot of custom changes to the CNC program, there would be no reduction in price.
We do not give instructions on installation of particular gauges. You must follow the instructions given to you by the manufacturer of your gauges.
